Blog Subject:  Progress!

Well, things have improved this last week - we are getting more sleep than ever :dancing: (well, everyone else is, my body hasn't caught up yet). What have we done...

We threw away the book :hohoho:

I decided last week to stop fighting it and trying to make her sleep 'properly' and tried instead...

What can I tell you - she still doesn't sleep :(

The best night scenario tends to go like this : 8.30pm bed with dh or me, in the cot bed with the side off so flush with our bed, with one of us and our arms wrapped around her. Several night wakenings, not for feeding, just to check we are still there, awake for 7am. During the day, perhaps a 30 minute nap around lunchtime, 20 minutes around tea - and that is...

OK, I admit defeat, 8 months old and STILL no sleep, in fact, it has gotten WORSE again. I gave in, I took her into our bed and it worked for a few nights when she was tucked into the crook of my arm. She still stirred in her sleep but I was able to get her back over before she woke up properly. Hurray we thought - maybe not the most comfortable nights sleep but we were getting some of a nights sleep. But, as is usual, it has all gone pear shaped, again ...

I haven't updated in a few weeks - I didn't want to bore with the same old same old :giggle:

Things haven't changed really, the odd night she wakes twice, another night 3 times, another 5 :roll: So I understand the issue - she can't settle herself back to sleep when she wakes in the night, and uses...

Blog Subject:  Success - but maybe not...

So, last Friday night, dh did the usual bedtime routine, and Squish was fast asleep for 8.30. I went to bed around 10 and she was still sleeping, so I thought I would get some sleep in before she started wakening - well, I woke at 5am and she was still sleeping :yahoo: and she slept right through until 7ish :)
