Todays lesson was brill. Did about 10 mins of sitting trot with no stirrups and boy can i feel that in my groin tonight!! Got a really good canter going on Alfie too and if he tried to break into trot i managed to get him back into canter easily. Was very happy at the end with my progress. Got one more lesson in a fortnights time before the riding holiday!!  Emma fell off her pony today near the end... [ Continued ] |

Went well today. We did some pole work and then all individually had to go from walk into trot then into canter and then back down through the transitions from canter/trot and then finally walk. We did this on both reins (both directions around the school) and mine went pretty well. I was very pleased and really enjoyed it today

| Blog Subject: | Last weeks private lesson |
I took the opportunity to have a half hour private lesson on the same horse but it was my riding instructors (RI) day off so i had a different one. My canters are still abit ropey at times. She said my position in trot is good but then i lean forward trying to get the horse into canter as if i am urging him to go into canter and then i get all unbalanced in my position. I am still enjoying the lessons though and keeping it fun!! |

Lesson last Sunday went well and we all enjoyed it. We did some trot work with no stirrups which makes me feel abit wobbly in the saddle still.  Still really enjoying our lessons. Emmas riding is coming along. Her key problem is keeping her heels down. As far as i know my position isn't too bad, riding instructor (RI) often doesn't comment on it and the RI showed me as the example of how... [ Continued ] |

Had fab 1/2 hour riding lesson on Alfie this morning, Emma rode a pony called Mel that i haven't seen her ride before, she says she has rode Mel at pony club though. I had some fab canters and a really good lesson!! My friend who normally rides with us is still on her hols so that was why we stuck to just a 1/2 hour lesson. I felt i was really getting alot from Alfie and i adore that horse sooo much!!...[ Continued ] |
