Potty aware

by june2007 on Thu Feb 21, 2013 9:23 pm
My DS is 2 1/2 but is young for his age. He shows an interest in the potty and will do a wee and sometimes a poo on the potty. Sometimes he will go to it on his own. Sometimes he will tell me he needs changing. However none of this is consistent or reliable. So I am keeping him in nappies and offering the potty at each change. Should I wait a bit longer for him to become more aware or be more proactive? My DD was being toilet trained at this age and was more or less dry during the day? But every...

More nappy washing

by frankie_n_baby on Tue Jan 20, 2009 2:16 pm
Despite the warnings of snow and sleet in the West, I am washing my little lambs (most of them) and my tots bots at the mo. Did a 30-- without detergent, and am now doing a 40 with about 1/3-1/2 detergent (we never use much, anyway). There seem to be no suds, so maybe I need to add a bit more detergent. Well OH has been and deposited his "specimen" today so we now still have that glimmer of hope of another baby some time in the future. The only worry now is that I just keep thinking what if it all goes wrong and it doesn't freeze properly or it can't be used. Usually people are asked to give 2 or 3 samples over the same amount of weeks to give better chances but we have just the one lonely pot in a freezer somewhere with our name on it. They have asked him to go back on Wednesday and they...

i just love terry nappies ;)

by danistark on Thu Feb 11, 2010 1:44 pm
I really do love my terry nappies. My favourite fold is the Chiense fold and I am still using this currently on a 9 month old. I use a Snappi to hold it on and I use Baby Bee Hinds wool covers for nights... with a bamboo booster laid ontop the terry. I could rant about terry nappies for hours so I started a blog about them, and I am going to make some more posts there soon about different sorts of terries, cos a lot of people dont realise that there's more ot terries than just yer granny's non-rare...
