My sewing projects

Well hubby bought me a sewing machine and overlocker so I thought I would start making my own nappies for the little one. I had thought about doing it for a long time, but have recently just got into it and have made 4 in the last week when hubby was doing his private pilot's licence in France.

This is my first attempt, a fitted one size with Red Robots knit and bamboo fleece, I needed a bit more practice with the snap placement but overall was very happy!

Finally got around to taking piccies of the other pockets I made.
They're 'inspired', by the Blueberry Side-snaps in large.
Ok, yes - just a blatant copy of the shape and style :giggle:

Two PUL side-snaps, both with microfleece inners. A bit boring but nice and practical!

Exciting day?

Well, my mw is fobbing me off with a late booking of my hb and a "wait and see" attitude. Grrr. I know it's common practice to wait until that magic 37 weeks, so they can put pressure on for a hospital birth and no woman at that stage is going to be strong enough to fight her corner any more. I was misled into thinking it would be no problem, and was not as calm as I'd like when suddenly confronted by a u-turn. Dammit! I am so mad at myself, but also at her. ...

Rant-free...if possible

So I still have no water downstairs. Which is making feeding and clothing three kids, one in cloth nappies, somewhat challenging. Toxic chemical didn't work, next step is rodding the standpipe, but as it is full of acid, I need to wait for hubbie to come hold the babbas...

So, while i wait and can't clean or cook, i'm stuck with chilling and knitting. Sad but true :giggle:
