Now that I've been using cloth for an entire week I thought I would update on my experience so far; Including my opinions on the different cloth nappies that I borrowed from the nappy library.

So far I have been pleasantly surprised at how hassle-free using cloth nappies has been. I expected a lot of extra work. Washing nappies takes no extra effort considering I wash our laundry a few times a week anyway, not to mention that my daughter has had no rashes since changing over.

I am so relieved to be home and cosy. I had a bad night last night and had to be up at 6:45am to get ready for work in Staffordshire. As it turned out there was a mix-up and the job was cancelled, so I was able to peel off the layers and layers of clothes I'd donned in preparation for a long cold morning/afternoon outside looking for signs of bats, birds etc. I got a lift back from my boss/colleague as dh had dropped me off before going to work. 'Impress' is off the needles! Just hunting for the perfect button, I had two in mind and can find neither...

But there seems to be a half made fidget on my needles already, and it needs buttons too.

I'm waiting for dh to come back after a night away visiting a work colleague/friend. I could have gone, too but didn't fancy the work-related bit (going round the lab and talking about some new things they're going to collaborate on), and didn't fancy the late night followed by being woken early by their kids. Plus, last time we left the cat overnight he pooed on the kitchen floor, despite having a clean litter tray (protest poo) ...
