Feeling so tired in the evenings the last couple of days. Before I was :pregnant:

with this one I was thinking 'I'm sure that tiredness I felt was a state of mind and that I can just get on with things regardless' but no. It is like nothing I have felt before. I just have to close my eyes. I don't even sleep just enter some sort of trace like state.

Two nights ago, while waiting up for our guest to arrive at the house (house being a rather grand word for our accomodation...but it's more than spacious enough for us!) I finally got a chance to sew the first cloth nappy. The elastic sewing is really terrible, but by the time I finally got to the elastic, it was 2:30 am...so I wasn't expecting a work of nappy art. Last night after we got home from an evening out with our guest, I did a quick insert with scraps and finished off the project.

I am so relieved to be home and cosy. I had a bad night last night and had to be up at 6:45am to get ready for work in Staffordshire. As it turned out there was a mix-up and the job was cancelled, so I was able to peel off the layers and layers of clothes I'd donned in preparation for a long cold morning/afternoon outside looking for signs of bats, birds etc. I got a lift back from my boss/colleague as dh had dropped me off before going to work. I'm back from my visit to my family and now have a cot, moses basket, bedding, bags and bags of clothes (and that's just 0-3 and 3-6months!) etc.etc. The nursery-to-be is chocka. I have also ordered some non-basic and lovely looking nappy items- a wet bag, pocket nappy in rainbow and very cute wrap with monsters on it. I can't wait!
