I'm a cloth convert and now im a cloth addict :giggle:

Aimee was born on August 11th, 2 weeks late, and to begin with we used disposables, i had been curious about cloth nappies but always thought they were to fiddley, probably more messy etc etc

So for the first 6 and a half weeks we used huggies, during that time i researched reusable nappy schemes and found one in manchester, the council offered...

Ok, so this week has officially sucked. There would be more words in that sentence but it would break the CNT code of conduct! :hohoho:

But to make it seem less challenging, I shall, for you good people, magically transform it into a vaguely amusing rant which will, if nothing else, allow you to appreciate a trip into your kitchen to make a drink, or to your bedrooms to grab a nappy...

4 super thin pizza bases

2 packets yeast (for 500g)
1 teaspoon sugar
1.25 cups of water
1 tablespoon oil
3 cups all-purpose flour
salt to taste

3 cups is about 400g of flour. Work out yeast according to what it says on the packet. In this case it's about two packets.

Mix yeast and warm water in a bowl (40-45 Centigrade)
Add oil and flour and mix till it forms a dough ball.
Nead for about 5 mins
Cover bowl with a kitchen towel, place next to heater while the oven is warming...

So I still have no water downstairs. Which is making feeding and clothing three kids, one in cloth nappies, somewhat challenging. Toxic chemical didn't work, next step is rodding the standpipe, but as it is full of acid, I need to wait for hubbie to come hold the babbas...

So, while i wait and can't clean or cook, i'm stuck with chilling and knitting. Sad but true :giggle:

This is just a little self indulgence to remind myself what I can do when I need and want to. If you haven't seen my garden you don't know what sort of state it was in. Half of the paving slabs were so overgrown you couldn't even see where they were, it was ridiculous. Today on a 4 hour gardening session I have weeded and found the slabs :wine:

it was a LOT of hard work though! It's just something I want to...
