A lead up to now

A quick run up to right now.

Bren was diagnosed with Kidney failure just before his 21st birthday - 2000

We met the next year, we were only together for 3 months when he got sick and was admitted to hospital. It was through a routine scan that they found a Renal cell carcinoma (cancer of the kidney) his right kidney was removed October 2001 and thankfully he was contained and hadn't spread.

Because of his Renal failure and one kidney having been removed his body couldn't cope his condition advanced...

BLW - The first week

After not seeming at all interested in eating yesterday today Kacie was very interested. I made cheesy beans and potato wedges for me and put 2 wedges on Kacie's plate. She seemed to know these for her and got excited at the plate when I put it on the table. She watched me while I ate mine, wating for hers to cool. Then she grabbed one straight out of my hand and nommed on it :widesmile: ...

I am so relieved to be home and cosy. I had a bad night last night and had to be up at 6:45am to get ready for work in Staffordshire. As it turned out there was a mix-up and the job was cancelled, so I was able to peel off the layers and layers of clothes I'd donned in preparation for a long cold morning/afternoon outside looking for signs of bats, birds etc. I got a lift back from my boss/colleague as dh had dropped me off before going to work. Honour Your Flow has arrived!

[size=85]I'm very excited, because our first order from Honour Your Flow has arrived! For those not in the know, Honour Your Flow is a range of reusable sanitary towels (AKA CSP on here I believe - cloth sanitary pads), they're made in the UK by another CNT member and are really good quality, I only wish I could sew like that, but there you go. My sewing machine is redundant and covered in mould after a leaking radiator incident. Ho hum.

Back to the sanitary pads - we've got Honour Your Flow...
