The start of the Pram refurbishment

I have made a start on Aimie's dolly pram (a 1965 silver cross "super rose"

The pram when we first bought it, a gorgeous racing green coachbuilt dolls pram that I bought for £45! the tires need replacing and there is a big dent in the body that the previous owner painted over in the wrong colour so I will be sanding down the body and chassis to the original silver metal and re painting it in purple. the hood and apron need to be replaced because they are very faded and worn with holes ...

Ah the age old question, most frequently asked when the world has taken a great big crap right on your doorstep. We all know the correct response "I'm ok" and at the present time I frequently have this little Q&A, but would you like to know a secret.... I'm not ok, in fact ok was a few stops down the line and I am now heading full steam ahead into a little town precariously perched between sanity and a nervous break down.

The end of weaning?!

Well, since I last blogged a long long time ago we have had lots of ups and downs with ds's sleep. As time has gone on, people have been more and more surprised that ds still didn't sleep well (the paranoid part of me says more and more disbelieving) and surprised I was still feeding him, especially at night (a big part of survival, so far as I was concerned). Every few steps forward he has taken towards sleeping for longer than an hour or two have always been short lived and interrupted by teething,...

Loving the spring sunshine!

Spring has sprung at last and the washing can be washed, dried and away all in less than a day! Stains vanish in the sunlight, and the kids are skipping to school - don't you just love the spring? Soon we'll put the winter coats and boots away and be looking out the flip flops and summer hats.

Top tips for nappy and san pro users - get the washing out on the line in the sunshine, does wonders for stain removal and is so much better for the fabric than tumble drying or putting on a radiator! For...
