by Shaunie on Fri Oct 14, 2011 1:09 pm
I've decided to start a wish list for things I would like for this baby / me although quite a few may remain just that....a wish!

BF bracelet
Amber teething necklace
A scrummy baby blanket
A sling for when too heavy for my stretchy close carrier
Wool soakers - have 2 but one more would be good!
Wool dungees / romper
More medium size nappies - think these can wait!
Sleep gowns
Easy-fit car seat to replace my old belt in one!

first nappy!

by usinukveg on Wed Sep 15, 2010 12:22 pm
Two nights ago, while waiting up for our guest to arrive at the house (house being a rather grand word for our accomodation...but it's more than spacious enough for us!) I finally got a chance to sew the first cloth nappy. The elastic sewing is really terrible, but by the time I finally got to the elastic, it was 2:30 am...so I wasn't expecting a work of nappy art. It's been a cold hard Winter here this year, lots of coal-tits and robins about though, they seem to love perching in the bare Hawthorn and springing up off into the air again.

Winter is a fabulous time to be snuggled up warm indoors of an evening with a ball of yarn and the clicketty of needles working it into something special. My current project...

I would NEVER share this on any other blog LOL

by muttley on Sun Aug 30, 2009 4:44 pm
I didn't realise how MUCH mama cloth contains! Thanks to a post I read here I decided to rinse out my pads today. (normally I throw them in with the nappies for a rinse before the wash) And it takes a LONG time for the water to run clean! Said post probably also answered a question I had about the mama cloth so I got two for the price of one LOL.
