Well OH has been and deposited his "specimen" today so we now still have that glimmer of hope of another baby some time in the future. The only worry now is that I just keep thinking what if it all goes wrong and it doesn't freeze properly or it can't be used. Usually people are asked to give 2 or 3 samples over the same amount of weeks to give better chances but we have just the one lonely pot in a freezer somewhere with our name on it. I've got a Blogger account, somewhere that is. I can't seem to manage to get myself logged into it or find how to keep it updated so I guess this one will do for somewhere I can stick a random load of musings without losing the details on a later date.

In the hope that this helps someone out there do something that took way too much of my time and so that I don't forget:

1) First off make sure your swap partition is bigger than your RAM otherwise you wont have enough space to save the contents of your memory. Use gparted or whatever takes your fancy. Plenty of help on the net for this so I won't go into it.

2) Hibernation was removed from Ubuntu so you need to get it back into you shutdown menu again:

I thought I'd add some of my most recent knits here so I can show them off a bit. I learnt to knit a few months ago and I have become painfully addicted! A pair of large longies takes about 2 weeks, so I'm not rapid by any length of the imagination. I'm now trying the Sleuthing Hoodie and have a hat in mind as well as some knits for a friend's new baby boy...

I can't believe that on Friday I will only have 14 weeks left of this pregnancy, and a good 4 weeks of that can be written off in the run up to Christmas as we just won't get time to do anything. We haven't started on babies room yet, we haven't started to put things where they need to be, we have barely started with her shopping. I just feel so unorganised. I know that it will all fall in to place and we will be ready but at the minute this pregnancy feels like it's running away from me a bit. It...
