Enabling Hibernation in Ubuntu 12.04 on a Lenovo T400

In the hope that this helps someone out there do something that took way too much of my time and so that I don't forget:

1) First off make sure your swap partition is bigger than your RAM otherwise you wont have enough space to save the contents of your memory. Use gparted or whatever takes your fancy. Plenty of help on the net for this so I won't go into it.

2) Hibernation was removed from Ubuntu so you need to get it back into you shutdown menu again:
Open:

sudo nano /etc/polkit-1/localauthority/50-local.d/com.ubuntu.enable-hibernate.pkla

I went to bed last night with my determined head on. I was sure I could get up today and just ignore the morning sickness, apparently not.
Cue 1am and a police helicopter passing so low overhead it could have taken off the chimney and waking Austin up, well 2.20 and he's still awake and I could kill for some sleep. OH brings him down stairs and I get some more broken sleep until 4 when all goes quiet because A has fallen asleep on the sofa and I think I might get ome proper sleep. Then the stomach...

Pitter Patter

Dexter last night for the first time in about 6 months refused to go to sleep and when Daddy brought him down he curled up on my belly and fell fast asleep only stirring when the new baby kicked him :giggle:

- I wonder if he knows, if there is some kind of third sense that we loose as an adult - if when he lays on my belly he knows that inside grows a second miracle, another new life that will grow...

35+5, 30 days till D-Day, 89% baked!

Phoned the doctors again this morning just to see if I could get a mw appointment this week ( already got it booked for next week, but I'd rather have a 36w appt when I am actually 36w!), but nope, they are still fully booked :s
I feel baby moving quite a bit, especially hiccups still and little kicks and punches, but these movements are reduced. Think baby is running out of room!

Yoga for pregnancy was fab, just what I needed. As I have just moved to this town...
