Exciting day?

by frankie_n_baby on Thu Jan 29, 2009 1:08 pm
Well, my mw is fobbing me off with a late booking of my hb and a "wait and see" attitude. Grrr. I know it's common practice to wait until that magic 37 weeks, so they can put pressure on for a hospital birth and no woman at that stage is going to be strong enough to fight her corner any more. I was misled into thinking it would be no problem, and was not as calm as I'd like when suddenly confronted by a u-turn. Dammit! I am so mad at myself, but also at her. ...

The end of weaning?!

by Slebro on Fri Nov 09, 2012 1:43 pm
Well, since I last blogged a long long time ago we have had lots of ups and downs with ds's sleep. As time has gone on, people have been more and more surprised that ds still didn't sleep well (the paranoid part of me says more and more disbelieving) and surprised I was still feeding him, especially at night (a big part of survival, so far as I was concerned). Early arrival

by june2007 on Tue Jun 15, 2010 6:44 pm
Like my previous baby. Julian Stephen was born 5 weaks early. In Scbu he used Dispicables, but now I am trying different ones. The trouble is my all in one nappies don't really go smaller enough. They all seem so bulky, so what do I use? Good old terry squares. I also have an old style size 1 Fuzzi bunze which for some reason is smaller then the new style. (Which is too big for him.). My mum thinks I have lots of cloth nappies, So think I have enough for now.

While browsing the list of WAHMs and looking at various products, I am again wondering about washable sanitary wear, and mooncups. Not sure about whether the mooncup is right for me, and wondering about the many different pads available. For some time I'd been wondering about all those unpleasant disposables (pads and tampons) and how they end up, and how damn much we have to spend in a lifetime for something that's not in any way in our control. It seems unfair that they...

I would NEVER share this on any other blog LOL

I didn't realise how MUCH mama cloth contains! Thanks to a post I read here I decided to rinse out my pads today. (normally I throw them in with the nappies for a rinse before the wash) And it takes a LONG time for the water to run clean!

And that makes the despicable mama pads even worse IMO than I thought before. Ugh. :x
