my mum loves the terries as well she used them on all four of us from birth to potty i tried to explain about the lovely fluff you can get but she just respond with you can't beat a big fluffy white bottom. :giggle: im just in the process of making her see the lovelyness of wool in the end i just decided to let her have ago when she looked after ds the other night, the next day we had a converstaion about knitting patterns :giggle:

My mum says she doesn't really understand the need for showing off their cute fluffy bums and that she thinks its all over commercialisation! :( mum is wrong! I would argue its all about promoting the cause
I've been wondering how people get on with 2 parters as they get more wriggly?!
I might set myself a target not to buy any fancy fluff till he's 6 months?!....can see that one failing

I'm intrigued to see how you get on with this...........I plan to use terries and hope to do so until potty time. Is it that the terries are not working or are you just tempted by the cuteness of the others? I'm afraid my lack of funds will stop me from being drawn by the cuteness but who knows. I often think though terries must work right up to potty or how on earth did our parents cope. My Mum very down on the idea of terries as she rememebers them being very hard work. But I think I looked supper cute with my big bum!!!

Its purely because I wanted to test out some cute fluff!! The terries work amazingly and I still plan on using them all the time, literally the fluffy nappies are coz other people at my groups have been converted to cloth through me but are getting the nice stuff and I didn't want him to feel left out  hahaha.
I do still definately love his terries though :) xxx

That's good to hear they work so well for you. :D I was hoping to satisfy any need for cuteness by buying wraps, already have a few nice ones lined up for this little guy and looking forward to trying wool too. Can I ask what fold you use and how they fitted when your baby was tiny? I have a selection of bamboo and cotton terries plus some muslins for early days, have learnt all the folds, can imagine me trying a different one at each change! :giggle:

I've used the chinese/origami/bat (there all the same thing) fold since he was a week and a half when he went into cloth, he's 16 weeks now, 13lb 14oz and it still fits okay :) to be honest because this fold is so absorbant and designed for boys anyway I haven't had to try any others yet! :D it lasts him 12 hours overnight with a ME wrap! Sometimes we get poo leaks out the side but different wraps prevent this and he is ebf and there normally big poos! Lol
Wraps can be pretty cute :) I need to find a fluffy one then I will be happy ;)

I have quite a few different nappies now with my 2months old. They are not too fancy but I also have some terries and I really like to use them as they are so absorbent. I stuff them with fleece topped booster and they last for 5 to 6 hours overnight. I really enjoy folding them. They started to become bit rough from the wash as I do not have tumble drier and that is the only thing, which worries me as I do not like to put her in anything rough :(
An yes I am tempted to buy more and more but I started using cloth to make some savings so trying really hard not to buy too much or buy only when I sell something.

I used terries adn prefolds for hte first few months, and still use them, but now that M is mobile, I prefer fitteds and shaped nappies. That said, I love prefolds, and am waiting for the infant size ones in the post. :) I love the idea of spending your money on cute covers!

Hello choccykisses  , just wondering how you are getting on now? Did you stick to the terries or have you bought lots of cute nappies? How old is your baby now?
