I tried for about a month just changing the inner soakers which was great because the nappy bin filled up much less quickly and therefore I washed less frequently, plus it saves a bit of washing wear to the outers which by all acconts don't age very well. Then I decided to give it up as the whole nappy change process took too long - much quicker to just grab a ready made one, especially with a squirmy baby. I've now resorted to fastening my outer shell as if it's actually on a baby and then turning it inside out for washing so that they don't go bobby so quickly, instead of using the laundry tabs - let's face it, it's the inside bit that gets dirty not the outside! None of my outers are bobbly yet and I've had them for a good few months.
