How come flongies are all the rage ATM?

Postby Mareth » Tue Nov 24, 2009 11:35 am

I'm a bit confused by the sudden hype over flongies recently.
This time last year it seemed that no one liked fleece wraps, certainly no one was talking about it, and definitely not raving about it. But now it seems that flongies are the best thing since sliced bread....am I the only one missing something here? :giggle:

I don't use ours as a wrap - we just use them as funky trousers :)
It's the funky embelishments that got me ;)

I still don't rate fleece as a wrap...

I love fleece - we as a family are a bit too messy for wool tbh. If they are worn in day I was ending up having to eash them daily. Flongies take any abuse including washing with fabric conditioner (with the daily normal washing) and dry in 15 mins on a radiator, plus they work brilliantly for my two boys!

I had not used fleece before starting up Snugglebots and i have to say i am really impressed with it, its easy to care for and seems to work brilliantly, just chuck it in the washing machine, washes well and it drys so quickly and i love the funky prints and embellishments and best of all they're cheap! :wine:

Mind you i still love all my wool too and find i use a mixture of both depending on what we're doing

Like Steph - mine aren't used as wraps, we only use pockets. But I like being able to get reasonably priced, warm custom made trousers to fit over Ben's bum :D

It's probably with winter as well that they are a good option. I prefer natural fabrics, but fleece makes good trousers and tops in the winter and you get some nice prints too.
