Never thought I'd be saying this

Postby Saskia » Mon Apr 19, 2010 9:56 am

But I LOVE fleece! :wine:

I was really apprehensive about using it, as from reading on here it seems some people really don't get on with it, and have bad wicking problems especially on babies who can't crawl or walk (compared to wool users who never seem to have problems). I also think/thought Freya was quite a heavy wetter - but a good 5-6 hours in a fitted and fleece during the night and she was completely bone dry on the outside, and the nappy was wet but not sopping.

And it's quite cheap - bonus!

I'm on the lookout for more! I'll need to either get large crops to wear as longies, or get them custom made as Freya has a big bum and little legs :giggle:

It's our first night in a fleece soaker (pumpkin pants) so fingers crossed it's good for us too!

I'm trying a fleece soaker tonight for the first time with a Holdens Landing bedbug - but am a bit scared about leakages! My son still has a bottle overnight, and has leaked through a couple of different wraps I've tried - Motherease and Little Lamb. I have to bulk his nappies with a terry square as well as two boosters. I've been using Ella's House bumhuggers which have worked inside a pocket nappy, but want to find something more comfortable for him to wear.

Saskia - have you tried making your own? Someone emailed me a link to a really easy pattern, and fleece is so cheap from material shops. http://katrinassqs.blogspot.com/2007/10 ... ttern.html

Tonight is our first night in fleece too. It's not as bulky as it first looks so I was pleasantly surprised.
