washing wraps

Postby joodel » Wed Apr 02, 2008 1:30 pm

HI there
I use motherease airflow wraps for both my kids, but they are starting to smell of urine, even after washing. I usually dry pail my nappies and then wash them at 60C. The wraps are either thrown in with the nappies (not dry pailed) or washed at 30C with my other laundry (unless soiled). Any suggestions as to how to get rid of the smell? Should I soak them in a water and vinegar solution? Thanks!

dont soak in vinegar as it can rot pul!
(i have read this, i dont have an actual experience of it, so i could be wrong!)
i would try stripping them with a cold rinse, then a long hot wash with plenty of bio detergent and then about 1000000 rinses till all bubbles have disappeared...tbh if you dont usually use bio, it might do the trick even without the 1000's of rinses.

I'm with Shevi and would avoid the vinegar. What detergent do you use? Don't really know what to suggest except the rinse and hot wash Shevi suggests.
