Weehuggers

Postby JabberJabber » Thu Nov 11, 2010 7:07 pm

So, someone tell me...

If you use the wee-huggers with an prefold insert, how is that different to the MC smart nappy?

Can you use these as a wrap for a bamboo terry?

And I see that they are adjustable, but come in 2 sixes - does that mean that they have rise adjustment too for each size?

Yes they have three poppers for the rise. I find them a really good fit (though am going to be selling mine because the flap which holds the prefold is giving Leo red marks, but he's got sensitive skin). You can definitely use them as a wrap though because DH just puts them on over any old nappy and says they work fine.

Ooh, thanks for the response. Apart from the problem with the flap, have you found them reliable?

Extremely reliable! TMI but Leo's had some awful teething poos and they've contained the whole thing. With a prefold they are trim, the prefold doesn't move, and we've never had a leak.

I think I am a little nervous as I keep thinking back to my horror time with the smart nappy system. (I know they work for some people, just not us!)

I will add them to my list for future investment.

OOh interesting that they work with fitted nappies too....... I was lusting after these the other day but didn't think you could use them except with pre-folds. Are Thirsties the same, can you use them with fitted nappies too? Trying to choose between the two!

Thirsties are just like a normal wrap and will fit over any nappies :D
I prefer weehugger prints as the fabric is really soft but thirsties are a fab bargain
