Ive never had compression wicking with wool, including long car journeys, a front night sleeper, clothing over soakers etc etc. I just make sure its well lanolised and the nappy is absorbent enough or changed often enough ie never let it get sopping wet through.

we have used motherease airflows and blueberry onesize coveralls from birth - both are fab, I probably slightly preferred the blueberry when she was tiny as the leg gussets are lovely and soft and stretchy.

I'm due in (gulp) 5 weeks with our second and want to use cloth from birth. :D

We had a nappy trial for 4 weeks when dd was born (and she was 9lb at birth) so by the time we needed to use our own stash she went straight into the small/size 1's.

For spud I've just bought motherease rikki wraps xs, tots bots size 0 & cotton bottoms newborn size after advice from a friend who had smaller babies than me (thanks Doc Maggoo!!). :giggle:

I've not yet tried wool/soakers - I plan to :knit: when spud arrives
