Smallest wraps for newborns.

Postby sineadrankin » Fri Jun 03, 2011 9:11 am

Hi ladies, my bubs isn't here yet and this is my first time with cloth. I know I won't know buns size til its here but even my size 0 wraps look big. I'll be using muslins and wraps at first depending on whether bubs fits in the nappies I've bought, but are there any brands that come up small so I can get a fe in just in case it is skinny like dd. Thanks

Motherease airflow in XS fitted (albeit a bit pouffy) on my 4lb dd, I also had a weenotions xs and thirsties xs. Prowraps do a premmie wrap but they are not very reliable - dd wore those over tots bots premature baby nappies.

I have a thirsties xs, so at least I have one of those and a motherease xs too.

They still seem really big though.

Maybe it's because I haven't got bubs here and I can't remember how big they are (dd is nearly 3).

Wil have a search for the others thanks.

My little man is very very skinny and we used (and still do at 14 weeks) xs thirsties wraps, size 0 tots bots fleece wraps, size 1 Little lamb wraps, and wool

Ahh right, I have a tots bots red fleece wrap too and some little lambs, so maybe I don't need to buy any other bits! :)

They are a little high on the rise to start with, but that never really bothered me. The thirsties and the ll's were my fave. the coloured ll wraps are so stretchy they give such a fab fit and with them both having gussets, that really helps with skinny legs :)

Just double checked the thirsties one I have, it is a size one and says from 6lbs. I doubt I will have a really small baby, but I swear I ordered an xs :/

We really struggled with wraps when DD was born (4lb 11oz but very skinny too!)
Motherease xsmall & some bummis/cotton bottoms NB size fitted 1st - way before the size 0 tots bots ones.
