Difference between a fleece wrap and a fleece saoker

Postby ALL5 » Sat Nov 12, 2011 8:13 pm

newbie here...

Just wondering what the difference is between a fleece wrap, such as Tots Bots, or a fleece soaker bought a Wahm? Are they the same thing.

I have a tiny newborn and am using LL bamboo with PUL wraps, I want to pick up a fleece wrap/soaker. I imagine I will try wool shortly but one thing at a time!

Its the same with any fabric whether its PUL or wool, a wrap has some sort of fastening - either velcro/applix or poppers. A soaker has no fastenings around the waist, you just put on/pull off (although wool soakers usually have an icord that you tie to help keep it on).

Simple when you know how!

Wouldn't the wraps be easier to get on and off a child...just thinking pulling a soaker on over a big bummed LL could bbe a bit of a struggle?

Fleece doesn't have much stretch so personally I prefer wraps, especially for night nappies since we have to put so many extra boosters in.

I've never had a problem with the pumpkin pants soakers though I tend to size up on them. However I love WN fleece wraps but I think I'm addicted to custom's ;)

I prefer our fleece soakers. They seem to look better than the wraps after numerous washes. Not sure whether it's just the difference fleece used between the different brands.

I don't have a problem getting soakers on Eleanor despite her being super wriggly!! Just need a good fitting fitted underneath for containment!
