Gardening game - ID these plants! New 15/10/17

The 2 pics are the same bush (there are lots just coming to an end) I wanted to do a close and whole, or do you mean the pic at the top of this page @confusinglady

@mamavan2 oh plant guru!!??? The one from earlier that looks tall and sticky ended up having the most stunning white scented flowers - the French call it 'Serenga' (that is what it sounds like to me anyway) but had no luck working out what it is!

I think I did come across that when I was googling too but it seems that is just the name for the lilac family so I guess that it is just a type of lilac (although the flowers were more round - I'll see if I can find a pic - I'm sure I took one somewhere!). I'm wondering if the fluffy one is as well as it is certainly similar shape but just a bit fluffy??

Ah didn't realise it was the same shrub. Mine looks like that but the leaves and flowers are smaller. I m sure it's a member of that kind of family though as it behaves in a similar way

During a (pet) bunny hunt with my neighbour in her garden, I saw a similar plant in pink. She didn't know the name but google helped again .

Yes! I think it is. Rhs verdict - highly toxic. .. out it comes!

Thanks @mamavan2 I think you are right it is some variety of spiraea japonica - neither of those varieties from what I can see of flower shape / colour but pretty sure it is that species - thanks again @mamavan2

Ohhh I've got some cool but strange grass flowers down the back I'll see if you know what they are - I'll go get a pic!
