When i get up i throw the covers back, open the window to air the bedroom out, then when we come to get dressed i make the beds.

That's not long enough to fully air and dry out in my mind. I'd rather the duvet stayed back all day!

Hehe, i dont mind the idea of a few mites, theyre normal and we dont have allergies so they dont really matter - i flip, hover, rotate the mattress etc... couldnt be doing with the bed not being made :giggle:

It's not mites or allergies that bother me, it's the liquid lost during the night that bothers me. And we flip, hoover, rotate too.

Nah, it's Sunday morning still, too early. I'm thinking of the neighbours and doing it later :giggle:

I'm definitely not a huge fan of cleaning but i like the end result.
The bathroom gets a full clean down about every 6 weeks, but its wiped down and the toilet is cleaned every few days or sooner.
Beds are never made, apart from when they've just been changed :giggle:

i can't remember the last time the windows were cleaned.

Our house is cluttered with boxes of small Nappies, longies and baby toys that i refuse to part with, as i see no point in giving them away and then having to buy new if we're lucky enough to have another baby. i hate waste and unnecessary spending, so i stock up on things i use regularly when they're on offer - so that adds to the clutter in a badly designed medium sized house with no storage.

I don't do ironing! I thought about it recently, but that soon passed!

My house is lived in. I don't mind if you put a cup on the floor or spill something, it can always be cleaned.
My only rule is no shoes in the house.

I'm a slob  I hate housework, I'd love a beautiful tidy house but I just never seem to keep on top of it. DH does the bulk of the housework at the moment as up until Evie was born I was either too pregnant/ill/or working full time whilst he was a SAHD, now he's self-employed and working from home and I'm going back to work part time in May so I have no excuse.
The living room gets hoovered daily as we have 2 dogs and if it's not done daily the dog hair gets really bad, it hasn't been done for 3 days now as were packing to move and there's boxes everywhere and it looks bloody awful. The kitchen floor I'd like mopped daily but it doesn't always happen. The hall stairs and landing gets hoovered about twice a week, the dogs aren't supposed to go upstairs so bedrooms don't get too bad, ours gets done weekly and I'd like to do the kids then too but it's a struggle trying to get a time when they haven't got some elaborate train track/lego sculpture/my little pony stable set up that they don't want taken apart  so theres probably gets done fortnightly. I hate dirty bathrooms so would like them done at least twice a week but we have 3 so that means doing one pretty much everyday and I don't always get time as if I try and do it with the kids about Catrin usually ends up trying to climb in the toilet or turning the taps on full blast and soaking everything :x
I never make beds unless you count throwing the top of the duvet in the vague direction of the pillows in the morning, I'm liking the thing about dustmites that will be my excuse from now on :giggle:
I think my biggest problem is clutter, our current house is way too small for us and not everything has a 'home' so I end up spending most of my time moving stuff about so I can clean round it, were moving in 3 weeks to a house double the size of our current one so I'm hoping that I'll be able to keep on top of everything better then, I can't wait :yahoo:

Lounge gets hoovered at least once a day (my kids are very messy eaters, so the floor gets overed -and looks like it most of the time  ). The test of the flat at least once a week.

DH has a thing about cleaning the bathroom, so that gets done a lot, but he's not so good with the kitchen, so I tend to properly clean that at the weekend.

I used to have to have a clean and tidy house ALL the time. I've now come to accept the reality of having a small person.

I keep on top of the cleaning etc during the week as I've been working full time and DH works 6 days a week, so what is left of the weekend is important family time.

For me, the house needs to be clean, but now doesn't have to be tidy. (Although one of my friends calls me Mrs Mop!)

I'm going on mat leave soon, so I will find a new routine, whuch will then change again when I go back to work next year.

Our lounge is the only carpetted room in the house & all food & drink (except water & Erin's beakers) are banned from consumption in there :giggle: I also close the door to the room at night so the cats can't trash it, so tbh, it doesn't really get so dirty in there.
The rest of the downstairs space gets hoovered a couple of times a week usually, as it's where the majority of the mess accumulates.
Loos & sinks get cleaned once a week, usually, with the shower & bath having a full clean once a month.
I don't really do a full deep clean once a year but rather tend to do bits throughout the year to keep on top of it all.
That said, I haven't cleaned out the glasses & plates cupboard since we moved here, 5 years ago!!
