Washing machine recommendations

Postby LynniferT » Fri Aug 21, 2015 6:50 pm

I've saved up for a new machine but dont know what to get :-?

Any recommendations? I tend to have a wash on at least once a day, sometimes 3 or 4 so has to be economical.

We've got a beko. It's pretty big, and good. Not sure on the eco front

I am looking at two bekos, both 9kg... Big enough to wash a duvet  :giggle:

Yes! I can confirm that! Or about 25-30 nappies ;-)

I had a Samsung eco bubble in Oz and I love it would definitely recommend it. I now have an LG which is really good and quiet and washes well. I really miss the 'favorites' programme that I had on the Samsung though, with this one I have to choose my cycle, spin speed and temp every wash rather than just hitting 'my' button. Both mine are 8kg but with your family I'd say 9 or 10 would be even better!

Both these machines are Direct Drive which apparently are much tougher and will last a lot longer (this bit is guaranteed 10 years) than normal machines and not that many companies make them. They are also a lot quieter with less vibration.

I like the look of the Beko machines too!

We had an LG and think we had a lemon. It had to be repaired several times under warranty and then DH fixed it several more times. We now have a beko. I don't like it quite as much, but lots of choice and works well!

Might have a quick look at direct drive machines then as i'd like this one to last as long as possible.

Ffs... Dh has actually just broken the door on my machine :x :x

His washing is stuck in there and DS2 has run out of pants... I now really need a new machine.

We've gone out to buy new pants as hes trying to break into it :hohoho:
