De-scaling kettles

Postby fivefourfour » Mon Mar 07, 2011 9:41 am

We have a hob-top kettle (no element) and the bottom has a bit of scale on it. It's starting to flake a bit on boiling and so tea etc is a bit funny tasting atm.

In the past I used a de-scaling sachet, but I do like to use natural products. Plus I don't have the car seat today, so can't go anyway to buy anything!

Can anyone recommend a store cupboard type solution?

Yep, I use vinegar or lemon juice for descaling.
