Well, I did wonder about sluicing as I was told before that it wasn't needed (I can't remember where now though). Well, I put DS's nappy in the wash and you can imagine the mess. :puke: I had to run the washing machine on empty about three times before I was happy to put other things back in there. I think the person who'd said that to me have neglected to mention it only worked for pre-weaning poos!

I can :giggle: now, but at the time it was very  .

Boots liners work well, but then the are the odd wriggly on nappies where they haven't stayed put 100% but most of the time is fine.

You can

fluffycabbage wrote:Oh dear  Ive had to 'sluice' my daughters nappies and liners for the last 6 months! Every bf poo is a runny one, so after taking off every pooey nappy ive had to get my hands dirty! Small price to pay i say, but dp has never done it :giggle:

I just bunged bf pooey nappies in the machine too

Ben has "toddler Diarrhoea" so his poos are horrid and I so miss being able to use the shower from the bath in the toilet :(

we only use fleece/minkee liners if dd has a rash

when changing dd if its a pooey one i just get as much off as i can (by wiping wth wipes/loo roll) and bung it in the bucket. When they go in the machine i do a rinse to get rid of any bits then 60c wash with powder, 30c wash with extra water, no powder and a final rinse

We have never had problems with poo still in machine/in nappies x
