liners, inserts and boosters

Postby littlelisa » Fri Jan 25, 2008 11:44 am

What is the difference between cloth liners, inserts and boosters?? I've bought several nappies off the various websites, and some have come with additional bits and pieces, including 'boosters'. Are those for pocket nappies, or just extra layers to go inside an ordinary shaped nappy? Is there much difference between these things?

Liners are just a thin piece of material, usually fleece, used to line the inside of the nappy to provide a stay dry barrier or to catch the poo!

Boosters are thicker and are used to add more absorbency to a nappy.

Inserts are usually intended for use in a pocket nappy but tbh the boosters and inserts can be quite interchangeable and it doesn't really matter as long as you find something of the right size and absorbency.
