Lockable nappy buckets?

Postby LadyMoonlight » Wed Feb 27, 2008 9:41 pm

I really, REALLY need to get hold of something to keep manky nappies in, that is toddler proof

I'm not bothered about it being a proper nappy bucket as the one I've seen (Bambino Mio) is nearly £14 plus postage

Has anyone come up with any inspired ideas to keep little mitts out of their nappy pails?

TIA,
LM x

Thanks for that link :)

I'm not sure if it might be too big for the space we have but it's on my list of possibles.

just saw something on the twinkle site that had clamps on the lid.
i have a tall skinny pedal bin...usually it is not full so boo can reach whats in there even if he does work out how to remove the lid!

Thanks Shevi.

It's the same one as on the Sam I Am website by the looks of it. Lordy, it's mahoosive!! I think I'll pass on that one as I don't think I'll fit it in anywhere!

I'm back to considering the Bambino Mio one but have to convince DH that we could use it for something else later on

consider a tall skinny pedal bin...mine is even pretty (pink...yes i know i have boys...but its MY bin!!) and afterwards it will be a normal bin! (tho David wont have it most places due to its pinkness)

Do you have a Wilkinsons near you? I have a bin like this one and although it doesn't have the clips to hold the lid on, it does sort of twist closed and Charlotte can't get it open.....

Very cheap too! :D

That looks PERFECT!!! I can get home delivery too by the looks of it, it would cost me more in petrol/parking to go to the store myself.

I might buy a couple and use them for other bits and bobs too :D

Thank you x

That Wilkinsons one is what we have. It should be toddler proof as it is dh proof here, at least that is what he says when he leaves the nappies on top instead of putting them in.
