Method of postage?

Is it better to send it signed for, (e.g. recorded or special delivery) or just regular 1st class post?

I would have said 1st class so the recipient doesn't have to be in to sign for it. However I have a feeling that most packages won't fit through the letterbox anyway so I'm just sending mine by normal post I think. Will see what it weighs when I get to the PO as the last two times it has cost me over £8 to post!!

I've always sent normal first class, think there have been problems before if people miss the post and cant get to the sorting office.

I would prefer to receive normal first class as I have to pop out Friday morning, and you can guarantee that's when postie will come

Im struggling to combine nice pretty packaging and sturdy packaging that will survive at the moment!

I've packaged mine up ready to post in the morning. Going to send normal first class with proof of postage - it's expensive enough without adding recorded delivery

This is what I'm worried about too Think I'm sending mine off as regular first class, it's sat by the front door so I can't forget to take it out with me

I've posted mine recorded as I thought thats what was required I've gone for sensible over pretty with packing

Phew! Mine's been posted first class with proof of postage.
Its all packed snuggly, but not tightly in plastic boxes and then wrapped.

Hope they like it Im worried now.
