At the moment, Isaac is in the boxroom, but we intend to move him in with his brother at some point.
In the long term future, the boxroom will become the access to the loft conversion.

So, what should we do with the room in the time between. It's not big enough for a proper bed, being 2m x 2m (the door takes up a good proportion of the space). I don't want it to become a junk space.

What would you do with it?

A quiet space with a cosy wee sofa and a bookshelf

I'm also considering what to do with our bedroom, as it means the boxroom might have a narrow wardrobe in it, leaving room for a small sofa in ours!

Is it a supporting wall between yours into the box room? Could you think about taking it down, giving you a bigger room (or en-suite) and still have an access way to the loft?

I like the idea of a snug type place with a sofa etc. xx

@Caroline, we'd already investigated doing something like the first option, but it is a supporting wall and would therefore need a RSJ putting in.

If we convert the loft, we can have a small ensuite there, which would make a 3 double bedroom house!

I might use it to set up the sewing machine...

@JabberJabber I have a small en suite in my loft room and it works really well. Small but perfectly formed, just like me We use our single bedroom as an office.
