Wow, that's a huge list. Must this all be done before you move in?

That's one long list of things to do by Friday.
I know that's when you move in but does it all need to be done by then?
My initial thought was getting the bedrooms done at least you have permanent places to sleep and then get as much of the rest done but the other bits ( although a pain and very disruptive with small children) can be done once you re in.
I always think it feels better when you know you have somewhere to sleep :)
Good luck

I think you will have revisit your list and work out what actually is necessary work by Friday. Painting the front door could wait couldn't it? Don't kill yourself over it!

I agree on the bedroom thing. Sort out a little haven for the kids and you and then you always have somewhere to escape to!

 wow that is quite some list.
I am with the others- prioritise.
For me if I could get the kitchen done and bedrooms the rest you could work around once you are in. They say moving is one of the most stressful things you can do, one can see why. and plenty :cake: to keep your strength up.

The front door is just about the only thing that can be put off, some of it is stupid stuff like the pantry door needs to be bricked so the kitchen can go in same with the stupid polystyrene tiles! The sanding of woodwork needs to be done so I can paint which needs doing before the carpets go down, the covering has to come off from under the stairs because it is currently accessed via the kitchen which is getting bricked up, etc
So you can see why a lot of these things need to be done :giggle:

Maybe you could just paint without sanding? That'd save a lot of time. One coat satinwood really works if it's over the same colour. If you've fitters booked for the kitchen, if prioritise prep there, and worst case scenario you paint once the carpets are down using plenty of dust sheets.

Can u get away with using liquid sander on the smoother woodwork just to give the new paint something to stick to? Doesn't work do well if u have really old chipped paintwork like mine!
