That's way too much to do and do it well. Can't you leave the hall stairs and landing till later? We lived without carpets in half the house for ages - but then we didn't have a kitchen for the first 6 months ;-)

We can't live with it as it is Ruth, not with the kids, I can paint some of the woodwork in the hall after we are in and some other bits and pieces but there are some jobs that just *need* doing. We're not doing too bad, just got to plough on.

7 now down and we have had to replace the upstairs coving as an extra :roll:

15 jobs left on the list, we're getting there! Need to replace some floorboards now though as they caved in under the decorator :roll: and OH and his dad have gone through some of the electrics when they were taking down the ceiling in the kitchen but that will be fine as they'll right it when they start the kitchen ;)
