Hanging groups of pictures

Postby sim » Sat Jan 26, 2013 4:23 pm

Ages ago someone posted a link to a 'how to hang groups of pictures' but I can't find the thread :s

Any help or advice on how to do this without it looking a complete mess?

We just play about with them till they look OK. I'll post a pic of a group of our pics later.

Personally you need some symmetry to it, a running thing that links them. My photo wall has a line through the middle so that they all have a flat top/bottom and there after they are spaced as i see fit but with the same gap. I will try and link you to a pic of mine on FB if theres one there x

Ours are a bit higgledy piggledy like Frances says, we sort of play around with it on the floor till it works. I have some personal rules tho that might be a bit more OCD than others - I don't like edges lining up or any symettry (sp?) to the arrangement

DH decided he had heard that all pictures should be hung at the same level as a door frame when we were in aberdeen. So all out pictures were at doorframe height :loopy: :loopy: It looked awful!
