This is the corner I'm going to paint this afternoon as a test before I paint the rest white (I'm unsure about what the existing stuff is so really hoping it sticks OK and works!). The wall with the door is coming out so not too bad if it all goes wrong!

I've cleared away everything and washed it all down so will go and have a quick nap while it is drying and update when its done.

All done, I even carried on to the left over the sink and stove which was horrible concrete (the plaster was falling off so I took it off). We have major salt petre problems there so will probably need to redo over the stove regularly but I think that's a small price to pay!

I just love it, feels so much lighter and brighter

as it has dried it is looking even better, I'm so pleased with it  the light helps you see it as well (so little natural light in our kitchen / living  )

thanks girls - I wish I'd done it it 2 years ago - but it was just so hard to do anything with Rémy!

Some before and after pics, the LEDs over the worktop are really yellow so hard to see but it is all bright white. I'm thrilled with it! Going to do the 2nd coat on the wall with the window once I finish getting Rémy down, not quite the 6 hours but it seems pretty dry

Good work Tory. It's amazing how some paint can make a big difference.

Shelves and pans back up today, will get a pic of it once it is all a bit tidier! Just the other half where there is a horrific stained pine built in bookshelf thing - need to have a think about what to do about that and I think I'll try to get rid of the books for the moment and put them elsewhere or in boxes until we have more room.
