New baby botty rash

Postby ems101 » Wed Apr 19, 2017 10:13 pm

So sils new baby - 6 days old has sore weepy red patch on his groin. I've suggested breast milk and nappy free time, then sudo if it doesn't clear. I'm thinking a lovely soft bamboo nappy with fleece liner might help?

@ems101 yep can't think what else will help. It's such s tricky time as you know , they are so tiny and seeing most of the time. Are they using wipes or anything that can irritate? Bepanthin is good too , contains lanolin so provides a nice barrier. Can't remember what newborns can have now, seems so long ago :giggle:

I think wipes are often the problem with new borns. Here is a link to the wipes mixture that I used that was really good at clearing up sore bottoms:

Store bought wipes are often just waaaaaay to harsh. Weleda do a really nice, natural calendula rash cream.
