I always use a fleece liner if im using cream...a fleece liner in a fleece lined pocket should be fine as long as its tucked in well at the edges

I dont use any bum cream without a fleece liner!!

I just use cream without liners and have no problems. Just make sure you use a little bit and rub it in well.

I thought I was going to have trouble with the nursery nappies - they were so clogged with cream you could still rub it on your fingers after washing them  But I put them all in a 60 degree wash with lots of washing powder and some soda crystals and it all came out - I was amazed. They look as good as new now :D

I think a stay-dry layer on top of a stay-dry layer can act hydrophobically if you have a heavy wetter or power-wee'er. The double layer of fleece won't automatically mean leaks, it just depends on Bub. I've used both liners in pockets and creams without a liner succesfully. Like Annette said, just don't overdo the cream; you should still be able to see the skin through a thin scraping of cream.

We use fleece/minkee liners for DD when using Vaseline, Sudocrem, Metanium and Bepanthen. The natural ones like So Scrumptious skin balm and Northern Essence Diaper rash salve we dont bother with liners because they are ok to use with cloth nappies and arent greast (i also find these work best!)

I have used fleece liners in fleece lined pockets before without any problems.
