I think / hope / pray / everything crossed etc the solution right now is to wash his nappies in 1 tablespoon of bio at 60 prewash extra rinse. Then wipe and dry like I have been forever.

Then to use a small layer of Daktacort on the fungal bits and generally all over bum, then a huge layer of Bepthanthen - the whole redness seems to be going down and perhaps by Easter I will have a child with a normal clear bottom - then teething will start

Trust my son to need one of the most expensive nappy creams going Luckily I found a massive 100g tube in Boots at bluewater for £6, but using the small ones we would probably get through 1 every other day

can't you get the cream on prescription from your GP?

the girls have a touch of thrush at the moment and we got Daktarin and metanium on prescription! I have also been cheeky and asked outright for some sudacreme on prescription for them in the past!

might be worth asking (you shouldn't even need an appointment, just phone up and ask if you can get some!)
