Is it nappy rash?

Postby Woozle35 » Thu May 20, 2010 7:41 pm

I know we have been lucky with Oscar as we have had no real nappy rash problems. The last couple of days though Oscar has come out in really bad sores. I have bathed him tonight in lavender. I left his nappy off for a bit but could not leave off longer as he was weeing evrywhere (he never usually does this).

Is there anything else I should be doing? And do you think it has it just been caused by him being poorly?

Would appreciate any help x

Are they blister like sores? that's what my two get when they are teething. Lachlans had weeping burn like sores  . I swear by soaking a fleece liner in cammomile tea with natural honey. It clears up even the worst weeping sores overnight.

Yes absolutely...

Wee tends to be harsher when they're ill plus as they're run down and ill their skin reacts worse to irritants...

Soak a fleece liner in (cold) cammomile tea and place it wet in his night nappy - wet healing helps hugely with sores...
