Not sure about towels, but there are plenty of people who can actually make stuff on here who will be able to help.
I had an old fleece dressing gown that I chopped up into squares and they are fine. You could get a fleece blanket really cheaply from one of the discount shops and use that.

I prefer terry or bamboo for wipes as I like to make them slightly damp and can't really do this with fleece.
You could use towels and overlock or zigzag stitch the edges to stop them fraying.

They make perfect wipes but as they others have said they will fray like mad! Best option is to :sewing: edge them or find a friend that can do it for you!

I bought a really cute pack of really thin facecloths to add to the few wipes I already had. They were a 12 pack for $6 (Australian which is about 4 pounds) still waiting :waiting: :pregnant: to try them but I think they will be good.

Most of our current wipes are made from old towels. They need sewing at the edge not to fray and a normal zig-zag can do fine if you don't have an overlocker. Fleece is not so good because it is somewhat waterrrepellant.
