Using brown vinegar to strip nappies?

Postby wrenma » Wed Nov 27, 2013 10:09 am

For some reason (husband) I've got 12 bottles of malt vinegar in my cupboard :-? Is it ok to use brown vinegar to strip my nappies? I was planning to soak them in the bath overnight in a vinegar & water solution. /they are only old motherease sandys and boosters - not pretties! Otherwise that's a lot of chips to eat! Thanks!

Hmm....I know people use vinegar in the washing machine with their nappies but as for soaking overnight-I'd await the words of some wise mamas as I'm not sure of the effect on the elastic x

I'm guessing the biggest issue will be staining, but if you are only using a weak mixture with water then it may be fine. Why don't you try one (the oldest/ worst) and see how it goes (and let us know!!). Good luck - or if it doesn't work enjoy your chips :giggle:
