Quick question re. washing

Postby Bumboleo » Tue Oct 27, 2015 9:47 am

Sorry, this has probably been answered many times but I can't find where.

I have been washing every other day, but now moving to every third day. I was using 2 tbsp detergent, should I now add an extra tbsp? Machine weighs the load and adds water accordingly, so more nappies = more water, so more dilute detergent if I stick with 2 tbsp.

Don't want build up though!

Please advise, oh wise experts!

I'd stick with the 2 but just keep an eye on it and if you think you need more add a little. You'll have more hassle with build up using too much than not using enough - 2 tbsp should be fine :)

I use one Lidl Formil tab for my nappies (so poss more than 2 tbsp?) and havent had a problem.

I think as long as you are rinsing the nappies well you shouldnt get build up. So if you feel you need another spoonful just make sure you rinse well and do a maintenance wash every month to rinse machine out.
