I'm Deb & my daughter's Maddy (or Loula), who decided to see the world at 11 weeks premature!
So much for all the preparation - the birthplan... dreamily imagining the perfect labour on my Easter Sunday due-date & putting her to my breast straight away... the purchase of a TENS machine & our real nappies (my addiction had started by the 5th month, to the dismay of everyone I knew, who were all disgusted at even the thought of a cloth nappy!) etc...
January, week 28 came & so did she, 4 days of labour (that's another story!), 2 months in ICU with size 0 disposables which came up to her tiny armpits & the joy of a breast pump over 300 times until her feeding tube came out & booby feeds could start!
We disposed of disposables when she was about 7lbs & haven't looked back - we love nappies! She's 12lbs now & even lifts her legs up for me when we change naps! Oh what fun we have!!
So, that's us! Pleased to meet you all & to have found such a great site!
