A question I have often wondered about.

Postby raven » Tue Mar 27, 2012 9:14 am

I always see lots of pics of newborns/small babies with their woolies over the top of nappies or just showing the nappy off with a pretty top and I wondered do people not put a vest on then? As I thought little ones needed a vest to keep them warm? Or is there somewhere you can buy vests that don't popper under the legs for little babies?

Hope that makes sense??! It does in my mind :hohoho:

Oh we've had this conversation a few times before  M wears non poppered vests from Mothercare and John Lewis. They start at newborn size and go up to age 2-3.

Yes you can buy non poppered vests, mothercare and john lewis sell them. I often don't put a vest on William as he gets really warm + the ones we have are too short for him

hehe crossed with louise there

None of mine have ever worn vests, I don't think they are a "must"

Stink only wore a vest for the first week as he was a really really hot baby. Plus as Judith said with him being in the sling he would litterally end up dripping with sweat if he got too warm and that really isnt good

We just used normal vests in the next size up or with vest extenders, DD was a winter baby so needed the layers, but they always fitted fine over nappies and wool.
