Swimming nappy question

Postby Soozi » Sat Apr 07, 2012 8:33 am

I feel a bit foolish asking this but this girl thing is new territory! Ds used to wear a washable swim nappy but the pool was so cold . So I bought dd a all in one suit . Should she be wearing something else as well in case of poop ?

We always used to use an empty pocket nappy like a fuzzi x

We go to waterbabies and u have to have 2 nappies so we use an imse vimse swim one with a happy swim nappy over the top. I would say u definitely need a tight fitting nappy too.

Yeah she'll need a nappy on underneath for poop containment

We've used tots bots swim nappies since James was 6 months and they are still going strong on Eleanor.

But since she's developed ear problems we haven't taken her :( and she wont be able to go for a long time to come

We use a Happy Nappy swim nappy which has close fitting leg and waist bands to prevent poo escape (not that he's ever pooed in it). I've never used anything else underneath but I did need to buy him one several sizes bigger than they said as his eyes would have protruded with the tightness of them otherwise. I bought him an XXXL when he was (a very chubby thighed) 6 months and it still fits him now (his thighs have halved since he started walking).

You can just use an empty pocket. Bumgenius one size still keep their warranty if you use them in the pool
