Problem with trousers pulling nappies down!

Postby Ilovebigbear74 » Mon May 14, 2012 7:36 pm

Hi

We have a new problem here! My little boy has not worn popper crotched vests for a few days and has just worn normal ones. However, his little trousers are pulling his nappies right down!!! We use MEOS usually. He has not yet had a poo explosion while the nappy os low slung yet thank goodness! Sorry if this is a beginners question, that's what I am infact!!

Thanks

Is the rise low on the trousers? I find that there are certain brands that are cut to low for cloth. We tend to use asda's jeans on my LO or i make him trousers with mroe room in thr critch

Sounds like you may need to go up a size in trousers for a bigger rise.
Might mean you have to turn up the legs though.

I always found Tesco & next good jeans for James' cloth bottom before he pt'd

Gap come up really small

We found asda and sainsburys trousers most roomy for cloth. The trousers with buttons to roll up the legs are good if u need to go up a size or have a short legged child like me!

We find mothercare 2-3 barely fit over a disposable nappy so they do seem to come up small.

I've got some Frugi (cut4cloth) trousers which are great but very expensive. It's worth signing up for emails as they sometimes have up to 70% off in sales. We've been given some Sainsbury's jeans which seem OK but I rely a lot on jogging style trousers. Dungarees are also more roomy around the bum but don't work well for us as ds is long in the body so either the legs are way too long or the crotch poppers pop open :(

I hope you find something that works.

Hello again!

Thanks again! The real culprits are the mothercare joggers I bought recently-what a pain! They pull his MEOS right down and the poppers actually unpop!!!!

Will look ate the frugi website xx
