anyway mum used to look after him while i was at uni i sent him with a bag full of tots bots a couple of wraps and a wet bag ,
i got back to find him in a tea towel with a safety pin and plastic pant , i asked her what had happened and she said well i couldnt work out that plastic thing (nippa) so i used a proper nappy i found the pants in the loft . i cant used those fandagled things , her words not mine , i went and brought her 10 terry squares and she was happy as a pig in muck , i thought the tots bots would make her life easier . but she says if it aint broke dont fix it

that is brilliant!! I bought some out of desperation in Louis' first Autumn, it wasn't cold enough to have the fire running but wasn't warm enough to dry the nappies on the line in a day so I got a pack of bright bots and I really loved them, I used to add a hemp or bamboo booster and a fleece liner and use a good wrap and they were fairly bomb proof!
Both the mothers were cautiously positive but really liked them when they saw how fab modern cloth nappies are! When Louis was tiny mum used to often 'build' all his nappies for me
. When she went back to Oz a few months later she was nannying for a family with a tiny baby with nappy rash, she made up my cammomile tea wipes mixture and started using cloths to clean her and her rash cleared up so she was definately a convert to all of it! I'm not sure either of our fathers would know what a nappy was to have an opinion either way
