Basically when I can be bothered - if it smells bad... But I've got cranberry oil on a pantyliner in the lid (it's a pedal bin) so isn't too bad normally...

My dry pail one is hardly ever so that's what I voted, but it does get a good airing for over half the week with nothing in there, and poo nappies are always rinsed in the loo and soaked in my seperate poo bucket - so that is after ever use, before they get added to the dry ones.

My wet bag for out and about is generally only if a pooey nappy has been in there, or I think about shoving it in the machine.

I voted every 2nd time or whatever it was but in reality its when it smells which in hotter weather is every time but not in cooler weather! I just give it a swish with perhaps a bit of antibacterial washing up liquid, that seems to be all it needs. When I remember I put a wipe with lavender oil in the bottom to keep it fresh smelling!
