Rock hard bamboozles?

OK I've read about this loads of times, but always wondered what people were on about as it's never happened to me in all the years I've had them (6 years now).

Some areas (not the entire nappy) on a few of my bamboozles have become REALLY hard, honestly it's like someone has inserted a metal rod into the seams in areas. If I hadn't been linedrying for the last 2 weeks I'd think I'd scorched them in the dryer or something, that's kind of what it feels like. This isn't just crunchy nappies, this is like hardened plastic or something, honestly it's weird. Is this the hardness people talk about?

Any ideas? Will the usual quick tumble dry sort them out?

Are they possibly just approaching the end of their life?

Thats odd that;s its just in some funny areas. I'd soak them then tumble. hWhat have you got to loose?

It has been very hot the last couple of weeks maybe the sun has scorched them?

This is how some of my nappys have gone (MIL Bleached my nappyes ) and some of them i found after DP took them off but didn't put in Nappy bin so left for 5 days instead of 2 so i think the wee was toxic and reacted with the bamboo, i had to chuck mine as i couldn't get them back

Definitely not the normal hardness that people talk about, that sounds very weird! Can you see it (thinking I'd love to see what you are talking about!) or is it just how it feels?

It's just how they feel. I'm wondering had the washer done something weird.

Could it be that maybe there's a collection of washing powder just in patches, and its dried hard?
