What would you try?

I don't have a huge budget but my lad has changed shape and now his nappies seem too big and baggy in the crotch. He has cheapies, alva double gusset colour snaps, tb ef and wedding notions one size. But since he doesn't need as much boosting, down to a bamboo there just seems to be far too much nappy. Also he is quite skinny so most of the tabs still meet in the middle, we have also gone back to between medium and large rise settings. What would you suggest?

I really rate little lamb osfa. They're quite slim fitting, very economical but IMHO better quality than cheapie pockets. The elastic seems quite robust so they've lasted longer than some of my others of a similar type (e.g. tiny nippers, green pomelo), and the fleece lining is quite nice, with v absorbent ll bamboo boosters.

I would try side snap pockets. I have always got a much better fit on my 4 with side snaps as you can adjust the waist and thigh poppers seperately.

Terry squares will always fit and won't break anyone's budget

Honestly, get the right wrap (we use Blueberry coveralls with poppers) and you're well away - really easy to wash and dry too, especially if you stick to cotton.

I agree. Terry squares are ace - always a good fit, economical, wash superbly and dry quickly. I specially like bamboo ones - and single layer bamboo terry dries almost as quick as single layer good quality cotton terry
